Catch the Latest Innovations in Kitchen Appliances

In other news, popular Japanese appliance manufacturer Tiger has introduced its first claypot rice cooker to Singapore. This innovative device, the JPZ-A10S, reaches peak temperatures of about 280°C at the pot’s base, enhancing the natural sweetness of the rice.

Not only does it create a deliciously crispy rice crust, but it also mimics the functionality of a traditional Japanese wooden rice container, ensuring the rice remains perfectly cooked.

Promotional Launch in Takashimaya

The JPZ-A10S is currently priced at $1,680 (regularly $2,590) for a limited time while stocks last. From October 23 to 25, visitors at the Tiger counter in Takashimaya Department Store can witness live cooking demonstrations of this unique rice cooker and sample freshly prepared rice.

Live demonstrations will take place from 1 PM to 3 PM and again from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM on October 23 and 24, and from 1 PM to 3 PM on October 25.

Marina Square Celebrates 40 Years

As Marina Square prepares for redevelopment, it celebrates its 40th anniversary with a special exhibition entitled 40 Years & Beyond: A Place That Grew With Us. The exhibition features archival images and a showcase of former shopfronts, providing a nostalgic journey for visitors.

Additional interactive installations allow guests to engage by sharing their own Marina Square memories through a community installation called 40 Years, 4,000 Moments, where you can scan a QR code to upload photos.

Free Activities and Workshops

The mall is also offering free activities, such as creating keepsakes using wax seals and making ceramic coasters through water marbling. These activities are open to walk-in visitors from 1 PM to 5 PM on designated days.

Advance registration is required for workshops on cyanotype postcard printing and acrylic loom weaving. Additionally, an architectural photography walk scheduled for November 14 at 4 PM is available for $25 per person, including refreshments, and is limited to 40 participants.

Limited-Edition Cameras from Leica

Finally, Leica has introduced two limited-edition models this October. The Leica Q3 43 Formula 1 Edition, priced at $12,590, draws inspiration from the racing world. With a carbon fiber design and unique Formula 1 branding, it’s a must-have for photography enthusiasts.

To celebrate its Marina Bay Sands store's 10th anniversary, Leica is also offering the Leica MP “Leica Store Marina Bay Sands 10th Anniversary” Edition. Limited to just 10 sets at $23,450 each, this stunning black-and-silver camera set is a collector’s item, featuring engraved artwork of iconic landmarks in Singapore.

Both cameras can be found at Leica retail locations and through specialist retailers, with the anniversary camera exclusively available at the Leica Store in Marina Bay Sands.
